JAKARTA - The news of Deva Mahenra's return as the phenomenal character Aris in "Ipar Adalah Maut The Series" was met with a very funny reaction from his wife, Mikha Tambayong.

He emphasized that he started everything from scratch for "Ipar Adalah Maut The Series" to build new chemistry with his co-stars.
Deva realized he had to be fair to the new cast and not bring any "pre-existing baggage" from previous projects.
"Honestly, I started from scratch, Mas Wayan. I started from scratch in the series. Don't think that I've been Mas Aris before, and that I'm really Mas Aris," he said.
He even consciously "erased" memories and scripts from the film version to adapt to the new approach of the series, which had a different writing and directing team.
"For an actor, the script is the holy book. I've erased my script from the film; I only trust my script in this series," he emphasized.
He also demonstrated this total commitment by dedicating all his time to this project.
"I don't even have time for an hour of badminton," Deva concluded.
