Accused Of Harassment, Lee Yi Kyung Reports False Information To Police

JAKARTA - The agency representing Lee Yi Kyung released a new statement after their artist became the subject of hatred due to the spread of false information last month.

In the exchanged message, the suspect Lee Yi Kyung said there were several Korean men who would harass anonymity. The actor is also said to have asked the size of the anonymous body.

In another photo, anonymously sent a message of longing for Lee Yi Kyung until the actor responded with a photo of himself. Another photo shows Lee Yi Kyung asking for an anonymous sexual photo.

"Regarding communities and posts on social media, we are preparing legal action for false information and hate messages," said Sangyoung Entertainment.

The upload was later deleted by the first author who mentioned the photos and messages shared using artificial intelligence (AI). However, it turned out to be detrimental to Lee Yi Kyung who was the subject of hatred.

The person who wrote about Lee Yi Kyung had stated, "I wrote the upload as a joke and didn't expect to get this much attention."

Sangyoung Entertainment as Lee Yi Kyung's agency responded to accusations of the message sent by the actor. They will take legal action because all messages shared are fake.

"We regret the false information and defamation involving the name of our actor Lee Yi Kyung spread across the internet. Through legal parties, we have submitted evidence to the Seoul Gangnam Police for the distribution of the post," Sangyoung Entertainment said on Monday, November 3.

They reported evidence as a case of defamation and the spread of fake news.

"We have firmly stated that we do not tolerate or compensate in this regard. We also continue to monitor uploads that damage the character of our artist, which will later be legally processed," they continued.

We are well aware this is a time when a person should be protected from false information and distorted facts. We will do our best to avoid harm caused by false content," he said.
