YOGYAKARTA God's promise about divorce needs to be known by husband and wife, especially for couples who have agreed with each other to cut off their marriage relationship.

The term divorce in Arabic comes from the word farraqahu-taffiqan which means disbanding and making it separate. In terms, divorce is defined as termination of a marriage relationship between a husband and his wife.

Divorce can be triggered by various factors, ranging from internal problems such as disputes, domestic violence, disobedient wives; to external problems such as economic problems, infidelity, debt, and so on.

In Islam, divorce is not prohibited as long as the termination of the marriage relationship is carried out according to the Shari'a. As the word of Allah in the Qur'an surah Al-Baqarah verse 31 reads:

However, divorce claims may be filed if istr has advised her husband to repent, but the husband did not respond to the advice.

Meanwhile, if her husband has worked hard, but the results are not able to meet his wife's lifestyle, it is forbidden for her wife to file for divorce.

When a marriage relationship experiences complicated problems, a married couple should be patient a lot. Islam encourages Muslims to maintain their marriage. In surah An-Nisa verse 19, Allah SWT obeys:

Meaning: O believers, it is not halal for you to inherit women by force. Do not trouble them because you want to take back some of what you have given to them, unless they commit a real heinous act. However, if divorce is inevitable, then this is allowed. Even so, the husband must divorce his wife at the right time, as stated in the At-Thalaq Letter paragraph 1:
