The Film Sukma Made By Baim Wong Wins Seven FFWI 2025 Nominations

JAKARTA The production house belonging to actor and director Baim Wong, Tiger Wong Entertainment, is celebrating a brilliant achievement.

Their latest film, Sukma, managed to make an extraordinary achievement by pocketing seven nominations at the 2025 Indonesian Journalist Film Festival (FFWI).

This achievement emphasized Baim Wong's seriousness in treading the path of directing and became an important milestone in his career in the national film industry. The horror genre film was not only warmly welcomed by the audience, but also received high appreciation from Indonesian film professionals.

Baim openly admitted that he was both surprised and happy for the confession.

"I actually didn't know this was going to happen. Everything just came. Shocking and proud news," Baim said in a press release to VOI, Thursday, October 23.

"I didn't expect it. Of course I was both surprised and happy," he continued.

In detail, Sukma managed to secure seven important nominations at the FFWI 2025 event, including the prestigious categories of Best Films and Best Directors which were won by Baim Wong and Grathiah Kumala. The Best Writer Category was also won by Grathhih Kumala.

In addition, this film places four names on the list of Best Supporting Actors, namely Christine Hakim, Oka Antara, Luna Maya, and Fedi Nuril, and won nominations for Best Cinematography worked on by Ipung Rahmat Syaiful.

The film Sukma shows the experimental side of Baim Wong who dares to combine elements of horror, drama, and comedy, with a strong depth of emotion.

Furthermore, Baim emphasized that Sukma's success was the result of the collective hard work of the entire production team.
