As of September 2025, 157 of the 193 UN member states had recognized Palestine as a sovereign country.

Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said true peace would never be born without protection against culture and civilization. Fadli Zon added that protection against Palestinian culture must be part of the reconstruction process. For more than seven decades, Palestine has been colonized not only politically, but also culturally. Cultural genocide is a crime against civilization. Through President Prabowo's commitment, Indonesia is here to defend independence and protect the identity of the Palestinian people," he stressed.
