How To Angga Maliq & D Essentials Introduce Music To Children

JAKARTA - The vocalist of the band Maliq & D Essentials, Angga Puradiredja, said that he had his own way of introducing music to his eldest son, Sheemar Rahman Purwadireja. As is known, Sheemar is now a child singer and has his own song.

Angga said that even though he was a musician, it did not mean that his son immediately had an interest in pursuing the same field. In introducing music to Sheemar, Angga initially used a musical instrument, namely piano.

Not by teaching his son to play the piano, Angga admitted that he only put the piano at home in a place that the son could reach open. That way, the child will feel curious and like playing the piano.

To introduce music to children, Angga said that parents need creativity. One of them is by giving children space and opportunity to show interest in music.

According to him, parents must provide the widest and most frequent music culture to their children, so that they can understand it well. Not only that, he also reminded not to force children, let their interest and interest in music emerge naturally.

"The point is that our creativity is for parents to give the widest possible music culture (to children) and as much as possible, but in conditions that do not force it," concluded Angga Puradiredja.
