BLDF Encourages Young Generation To Care For The Environment Through The 2125 Series: Message From Earth

JAKARTA - The current environmental conditions are very worrying. This is characterized by serious degradation and threatens survival, with the main issues covering climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions, the loss of biodiversity, air and sea pollution, to the plastic waste crisis.

With this increasingly worrying environmental situation, the role of society to preserve it is very much needed, especially young people. Young people must be more active in maintaining the environment for a better future.

As the Djarum Foundation (BLDF) Environmental Service does through the Ready-Aware Environment (Ready Darling) movement, which invites and educates young people to love the environment through creative activities.

One of them is through the release of a web series entitled 2125: Message from Earth. This series tells the journey of three figures who explore time. They are connected by a destiny to save the future of the earth from the climate crisis.

Through this web series, we want to invite the younger generation to cross the time to 2125 if we do not protect this earth. The hope is that this web series can serve as a reminder that every small action taken to protect the earth will have an impact on the sustainability of life and become a legacy for future generations," said the Director of Communications Djarum Foundation, Mutiara Diah Asmara, in Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

The Indonesian Ministry of Environment, represented by the Head of the Communication, Information and Education Working Group of the Public Relations Bureau, Romi Setiawan, admitted that he strongly supports the launch of the web series. With creative ideas campaigning for environmental conservation invitations, it will make the younger generation more interested in doing so.

"Environmental messages often feel heavy, even though they can be conveyed in a close and touching way. This is where the role of creative communication becomes important. Today, we see an example through the 2125 web series: Message from Earth," said Romi Setiawan.

The web series, which will air from October 11, 2025 on YouTube Ready Darling, will be played by Gabriel Prince, Calvin Jeremy, and Aline Alfauziah. Playing the character of Nature, Gabriel Prince admitted that he learned a lot about environmental conservation and invited young people to be more active in doing it.

The figure of Nature in this web series has the very necessary properties of us young people today in the struggle to care for the environment. The actions we are doing today are provisions for future generations. I think the Ready Darling movement, initiated by BLDF, can be an inspiration for me and the younger generation in protecting the earth, "concluded Gabriel Prince.
