Late Night Presenter Welcomes Jimmy Kimmel's Return, Stopped After Charlie Kirk's Comment

JAKARTA - Jimmy Kimmel has been declared back and his Late Night event will air again. This decision was made after a lot of protests against the suspension from the public.

Disney representatives have stated that the decision to stop broadcasting was due to their concerns about the political situation in the United States.

"Last Wednesday, we made the decision to stop production of events to avoid a political situation in an emotional moment towards our country. This decision was made because the comments made were not timely and offensive," said a Disney representative.

"We spent time communicating with Jimmy and after the conversation, we agreed to get the show back on Tuesday," he continued.

Last week, Jimmy Kimmel commented on Charlie Kirk's death as an attempt by the MAGA group (Make America Great Again) to improve their side and try to antagonize shooter Kirk from looking the same as them.

The comment then led to the halt to the Jimmy Kimmel Show for a while which drew criticism from the public.

However, after the event was declared back, the public welcomed Jimmy Kimmel as well as the presenters of the Late Night program from other television stations.

Presenter Seth Meyers opened the show by saying, "Donald Trump called his lawyer to execute his political enemy and said the television station that gave criticism had to stop the event. But it wasn't us, was it? We're fine, really! Eh, we joined the television station? But I'm not wearing a suit? Oh I think we just aired on gas station television," Seth Meyers said sarcastically.

Meyers continued, he himself often made jokes about their own President, one of whom was Joe Biden.

"We make jokes about politics and news including Joe Biden. You will not stop talking," he said.

Stephen Colbert through his show said, "A few hours before we were filming, we heard he said Disney was bringing Jimmy Kimmel Live back to air. This is good news for my friend Jimmy and his staff."

"I'm happy for them, and now that Jimmy has not been canceled, I can enjoy Emmys. Once again, I think I'm the only one martyred in the Late Night program. Except, CBS do you want to agree to something?" quipped Colbert.
