JAKARTA - The younger generation of Indonesia has again shown its defenses in the world arena. In the midst of the swift currents of globalization, the nation's children continue to prove that they are able to compete in the academic and non-akademic fields.

This achievement is not only a personal pride, but also a symbol of Indonesia's great potential in the future.

One of the real evidences came from Dazle David Toalu, a 7th grade student of SMP Ipeka BSD from Serpong, Banten. At the prestigious 2025 International Mathematics Competition (IMC) held in Da Nang, Vietnam, last August 15, he managed to bring home a bronze medal for Indonesia.

The competition, which was attended by more than 30 countries, is known to have a high level of difficulty, so Dazle's achievements are a proud record.

"I am very grateful to be a member of the Indonesian National Team for IMC and to be able to present a medal at the 2025 IMC. The material regarding the IMC Olympics is known to be very difficult, so I take a lot of time to learn every day before leaving for Vietnam,"

"I am grateful for the support of the coach from KPM during training and while in Vietnam so that I finally won 2 medals, namely for individual classes and groups. The competition is also very exciting, many fun activities and performances", said Dazle.

His love for mathematics has been seen since kindergarten. Since taking 4th grade elementary school, Dazle has actively participated in various international competitions and continues to hone his skills. Apart from math, he is also interested in debate and writing. In the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Global event in Bangkok in September 2025, Dazle won 11 medals (9 gold and 2 silver) and won the title of Top 4 Junior Scholar.

Previously, in early 2025, he won a gold medal at the SouthEast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO X) in Singapore, after 2024 he was ranked the top gold medalist at the SEAMO regional level. Until now, Dazle has collected around 70 medals from various national and international competitions.

Despite being busy with preparations for the competition, Dazle still takes the time to play futsal with friends. He hopes that more young Indonesians will dare to fight and develop talents in their respective fields.

"Many Indonesian students are smart and accomplished, I am sure that the Indonesian nation will be more advanced and famous in the future," concluded Dazle.
