5 Hadiths On Competition In GoodNESS

YOGYAKARTA In Islamic teachings, racing to do good is a must-be done thing. The race is not meant to be a showy event, but to increase goodness sincerely. There are many hadiths about competition in goodness that can be used as a reference. This article will provide some of the Prophet's hadiths about competing to do good.

Please note that kindness is something that can bring positive benefits both for humans and the environment. Here are some hadiths that can be a reference source that competing in goodness is highly recommended.

Quoted from NU Online, Rasulullah SAW likens believers to bees that benefit others. This is as explained by the Prophet Muhammad in the hadith narrated by Imam Baihaqi which means as follows.

"The example of a mukmin is like a bee, when eating, never eating except for good food. When leaving something or giving something, it's never except good, when stepping on a branch never damages it. A mukmin is like a golden lamp when it's cleaned it's shiny and when weighted it's never lacking." (HR. Imam Baihaqi)

The Prophet Muhammad SAW also emphasized that as well as humans are able to bring benefits to others. This is as a hadith follows which means as follows.

'Sebaik-baik manusia adalah yang paling bermanfaat bagi orang lain.' (HR Ahmad, Thabrani, dan ad-Daruquthni)

The Prophet Muhammad salallahu also asked his people to be enthusiastic and hasten to do good. These actions should not be pandam and should not be delayed.

'Get to work on goodness before the arrival of slander that seems like the darkness of the night. So that some of the people who believed in the morning, in the afternoon, have given up. Or vice versa, in the afternoon he believed, then quot in the morning. They exchanged their religion with the world treasury.' (HR. Ahmad no. 8017 and Muslim no. 118).

Not only doing good, but the Prophet Muhammad SAW also gave an example of how to become a person who is able to bring goodness. In order to be a good person, someone must be kind to his friends and neighbors.

"From Abdullah bin Amr ra, that Prophet Saw said, "The best friends in the sight of Allah are those who are the best to their friends, and the best neighbors in the sight of Allah are those who are the best to their neighbors." (HR at-Tirmidzi).

Kindness can be realized in various ways, one of which is by becoming a friendly person. Even the Prophet Muhammad SAW strongly recommends it like the following.

From Jabir, he said: Rasulullah shollallahu alaihi wasallam said, 'People who believe are friendly and there is no kindness for someone who is not friendly. And as good as humans are the most beneficial people for humans.' (HR Thabrani and Daruquthni).
