Demanded 12 Years In Prison, Vadel Badjideh: Disappointed

JAKARTA - content creator Vadel Badjideh expressed his disappointment regarding the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for the alleged immoral act against Nikita Mirzani's daughter, Laura Meizani alias LM.

Even though he was disappointed, Vadel admitted that he had surrendered to the demands given by the prosecutor regarding this case and submitted the verdict to God's destiny.

"Disappointed (12 years of prosecution), we just leave it to Allah again," said Vadel Badjideh at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, September 8.

Vadel also admitted that he was not afraid if he was sentenced to 12 years in prison because he was sure that there would be a lesson behind this incident and was ready to accept his final decision.

"If you're afraid, because if the promise is Heaven for me," Vadel Badjideh continued.

"Ready (for the verdict), God willing, it will be ready," explained Vadel Badjideh.

For a hearing scheduled for a plea, aka a memorandum of defense to be held today, Vadel said he had no special preparations other than praying.

"(For today's trial) Prayer preparation," said Vadel Badjideh.

He was also reluctant to talk much about the plea that would be conveyed by his party at the trial later. "We'll see later," said Vadel Badjideh.

Previously, in this online trial, there was an agenda for reading the demands from the Public Prosecutor (JPU). Where the Public Prosecutor demanded Vadel with 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion for this case or replaced with imprisonment for 6 months if he could not pay the fine.

"The trial has submitted a letter of demand, the prosecutor has submitted a letter of demand. Demanded for 12 years, a fine of Rp. 1 billion. If the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 6 months," said Rio Barten, Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, September 1.
