Alan Cumming Says Avengers Filming Is Over: Doomsday

JAKARTA - Actor Alan Cumming revealed that he had finished his part for the film Avengers: Doomsday. This was revealed when he attended the Emmy event on Sunday, September 7 local time.

Cumming returns to play Nightcrawler from the film X2 for Avengers: Doomsday. As part of Marvel after 10 years, he feels happy to be back.

"I've finished it. I'm working on it," Alan Cumming told Variety.

"I do a lot of things and practice, it's amazing. The stunt people don't believe I can stand up, even jump and boxing and practice," explained Cumming again.

Alan Cumming admitted that he had forgotten about his character and character story so he decided to watch the previous film.

"I think it's very helpful because it's very intense and full of things at one time," he said again.

Previously, Alan Cumming was amazed by the sophistication of filming at this time. He is known to have to paint his face purple for Nightcrawler, now he is back doing this.

"Actually what makes it cool is that it used to be four to five hours but now it's 90 minutes. Starting from green screen, CGI, the face is very detailed. So I feel like I can play the character again properly," said Alan Cumming.

Apart from Alan Cumming, several X-Men players were also re-confirmed, namely Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden and Rebecca Romijn.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
