Awareness Of Caring For Yourself Increases, Japan Will Open A Special School For Cosmetics

JAKARTA - Japan has planned to develop a special school for cosmetic science. This is an effort by the State of Sakura to increase global competitiveness in the skin health and makeup industry.

Japan News Agency Kyodo on Sunday reported that School of Cosmetic Science at Saga University will be the first of its kind among public or private universities in Japan.

This school aims to enable students to study systematically the chemical properties in cosmetic products and their effects on the skin, thus encouraging research and development and printing experts in this field.

"Skin care products are increasingly in demand, regardless of gender," said Saga University Chancellor Hiroaki Kodama, in a press conference citing ANTARA, September 7.

Hiroaki noted that the government is trying to make the cosmetics sector an industry that has global competitiveness and expressed hope that product development and research can be carried out through collaboration between industry, government and academics.

The school will receive 30 students who will study various fields such as chemistry, biology, and marketing. The curriculum will include practical lessons, including lectures from industry professionals and internships at the company.

This school alumni is expected to have a career in the cosmetics industry, producers of chemicals, as well as food and beverages.
