Nikita Mirzani's Request For Suspension Of Detention Was Rejected By The Panel Of Judges

JAKARTA - The trial of the case involving artist Nikita Mirzani was held again on Thursday, September 4, 2025. In the agenda of the trial, Nikita's legal advisor team reiterated the request for a suspension of detention that had been submitted a few weeks ago.

"The second thing we want to convey is also because we were given the opportunity, that the defendant, eh, was related to the request for a suspension, which a few weeks ago had not yet received confirmation from the Panel of Judges, Your Honor. Likewise, Your Honor," said Nikita Mirzani's legal advisor team during the trial.

Responding to this, Chief Justice Kairul Soleh emphasized that his party had held deliberations regarding the request. However, the result still decided that Nikita Mirzani must remain in custody.

"And related to the suspension of detention, the panel has also deliberated, yes, and for the time being, the defendant remains in custody, right," replied the presiding judge, Kairul Soleh.

Previously, actress Nikita Mirzani officially submitted a request for a suspension of detention in the middle of a six-month trial process.

He emphasized that this request is the right of every defendant and the main reason is for the sake of his children who he has left for too long.

Nikita confirmed the legal steps she took after undergoing a trial at the South Jakarta District Court.

"The suspension is permissible, yes, all defendants may apply for a suspension," said Nikita Mirzani after the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, August 21.

When asked further about the reasons behind his petition, Nikita firmly mentioned the factors of his children. The trial process, which took up to half a year, became the main consideration.

"Yes, it's a child. Because it's been too long, the trial process has entered the sixth month, it's been too long," he continued.
