Demanded 12 Years In Prison For Cases Of Alleged Immoral Acts, Vadel Badjideh Dissatisfied

JAKARTA - Vadel Badjideh's content creator hearing on the alleged immoral act against Nikita Mirzani's daughter, Laura Meizani, was again held at the South Jakarta District Court.

The trial, which was held online, was scheduled to read the demands from the Public Prosecutor (JPU). Where the Public Prosecutor demanded Vadel with 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion for this case or replaced with imprisonment for 6 months if he could not pay the fine.

"The trial has submitted a letter of demand, the prosecutor has submitted a letter of demand. Demanded for 12 years, a fine of Rp. 1 billion. If the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 6 months," said Rio Barten, Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, September 1.

For this demand, the South Jakarta District Court provided an opportunity for Vadel Badjideh to file a plea, aka a defense of this claim next week.

"The next agenda, the trial has been postponed for the next 1 week to deliver the defense of the defendant," Rio Barten continued.

Knowing this demand, Vadel Badjideh, represented by his attorney, Oya Abdul Malik, admitted that he was not satisfied and would try during the defense.

"With today's demands, if they are delivered quite satisfied, I'm not satisfied. But it's okay, for us there is still time to file a defense and plea," said Oya Abdul Malik.

Likewise with Vadel's reaction after the demands were read out, Oya said that her client looked disappointed and surprised by the prosecutor's demands. But he made sure Vadel tried to understand and accept it.

"Disappointed yes, shocked yes. I mean, yes, just expressive, yes, but covered with a smile. He understands and accepts," said Oya Abdul Malik.

At the next trial, Oya said that Vadel would personally deliver his plea before the judge.

"It was conveyed by the panel whether to convey the plea personally. Vadel said he would carry out pleas through his attorney, but he would also read it privately," concluded Oya Abdul Malik.
