JAKARTA - The Korean drama Doctor Cha is reported to be back for its second season. The two main characters, Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul, are said to have accepted the offer.

Monday, September 1, a local media reported Doctor Cha starting preparations for his second season of production today. This was also confirmed by the Alien Company agency which oversees the two actors.

"Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul will play the second season of the drama Doctor Cha," Alien Company said on the same day.

However, on the same day, SLL as the production house for this drama stated that nothing could be confirmed.

"Nothing has been discussed regarding the production of Doctor Cha for the second season," said a source from SLL.

Doctor Cha is a drama that airs in 2023 that tells the story of Cha Jung Sook (Uhm Jung Hwa) who transforms from a housewife to a medical resident in his first year. She spent 20 years of her life as a housewife again realizing her dream.

Cha Jung Sook has a husband named Seo In Ho (Kim Byung Chul) who is successful as a doctor but has a microscopic character.

Doctor Cha became a successful drama with the last episode reaching 18.5% and became one of the highest in 2023.

Uhm Jung Hwa is acting in the drama My Troublesome Star, while Kim Byung Chul will return to acting through Cashero which is scheduled for this year.
