"This is my first time working with the cast, including Mr. Nugros. Initially, the story wasn't like this, but after discussions, Mr. Fajar developed it more deeply," she said.
Although her role is small, Clara said it has a significant impact on the story. She was also challenged to deliver an impactful performance in the film.
"My role is minor, but for me, playing a minor role is difficult because the screen time is limited. Even if it's small, it has to be impactful, and the context here is a mystery because I'm hiding it from the audience," Clara added.
"I couldn't predict the story until the end, and that brought its own challenges because I had to portray a mysterious character so the audience would be hooked but also reveal the story behind this character," she said.
Aurra Kharisma, who plays Lasmi in this film, also faced challenges because she felt the adrenaline rush of acting.
"The difficulty was not wearing sandals that would get stuck in the asphalt. And it was quite long. I had to run after something in the middle of the night and almost morning, and it was like a three-hour padel game, but it was fun," said Aurra Kharisma.
The film Perempuan Pembawa Sial tells the story of Mirah (Raihaanun), who experiences misfortune due to a curse that causes any man who marries her to die tragically.
