JAKARTA - The Gala premiere for the animated film Panji Skull produced by Falcon Pictures took place at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Friday, August 22 evening.

Starting from musical performances, premieres, to the presence of photobooths and activation areas, this gala premiere is a celebration of the work of legendary comics and Indonesian animated films.

Since the afternoon, hundreds of Indonesian film lovers have gathered to look forward to the premier gala. Many of them approached the face painting booth, where their faces were depicted like the character of the Panji Skull.

Bada maghrib, Iwan Fals and Isyana Sarasvati were presented on a small stage in the outside cinema area. Both played three songs, including the 'Last Flower', the song by Bebi Romeo which became the soundtrack for this film.

Furthermore, those involved in the film Panji Skull were presented on stage, ranging from producers, directors, and actors who voiced for each character in the film. Not to forget, Hans Jaladara, the comic behind Panji Skull's work was presented that night.

"I've never seen so many people in the gala premiere," said director total Wilson when he saw the crowd near the stage.

From my face, it looks so great satisfaction. Naturally, the film Panji Skull is classified as a big project, which involves 250 crews throughout its production. Not to mention, it took three years to complete it since the script was received so it was really worth showing.

2D Animated Display According To Ceritas And Characters Of Panji Skull

The premiere began at 19.30 WIB. As is known, this film tells the story of Panji, a warrior who is condemned to live forever in suffering after taking revenge for his wife's death. In the search for a magic heirloom that is believed to be able to release him from the curse, Panji is caught in a major conflict between the two kingdoms.

Despite using 2D animation, what this film shows feels so alive. In this case, voice actors have a big role. Each scene, especially the fight, is presented with attractiveness and becomes more detailed through the voices that appear.

2D animation was deliberately chosen. After the screening of the film, Frederica as the producer said, the choice of two-dimensional technology is considered more in accordance with the typical stories and characters in the Panji Skull.

"We thought that if 3D was made, it would be too cute, like Kung Fu Panda, we couldn't get the gore," said Erica. And this is a decision we make with the team.

Denny Sumargo Hopes Panji Skull Continues To Live Action

Meanwhile, the actors involved in the voice in the film Panji Skull are Denny Sumargo, Aghniny Haque, Donny Alamsyah, Cok Simbara, Nurra Dukata, Revaldo, Donny Damara, Prit Timothy, and Tanta Ginting.

Denny Sumargo, who fills the voice of Panji's character, looks so satisfied after the premiere. His emotions mixed when he watched this film with the audience for the first time.

"I got goosebumps. Panji was a person full of wounds, and while watching the film, I drowned again in that pain. This Gala really made me feel like the three-year journey paid off," said the actor who is familiarly called Densu.

Seeing the great enthusiasm in the gala premiere, Densu believes that this is only the beginning of something bigger. He hopes that the comic Panji Skull, which is now adapted into an animated film, will be used as a live action film in the future.

"This is an extraordinary work of the nation's children and we have to give our applause to everyone," he said. This is a big start for all of us. And I believe that one day the Panji Skull will be a live action film and will be in theaters.
