This award is determined based on the voting results of the reader of Trazee Travel, a travel media from the United States. On the list, Dublin took second place, followed by Hong Kong and London.
The Trazees award event has entered its 11th year and was held by FXExpress Publications, the parent company of the travel magazine Global Traveler. This year, there were 804,482 people participating in the voting.
According to Seoul officials, this repeated recognition shows the growing global attractiveness of the city. Korean cultural popularity around the world, mix of traditional and modern attractions, digital-based tourism infrastructure, and reputation as the main destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) are decisive factors.
