JAKARTA - Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, has won another title as the world's favorite city for tourists aged 25-40 years. This title was given for the fourth time in a row through the 2025 Trazees awards event.

Reporting from The Korea Herald page, the announcement was made by the Seoul Metropolitan Government with the Seoul Tourism Organization on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

This award is determined based on the voting results of the reader of Trazee Travel, a travel media from the United States. On the list, Dublin took second place, followed by Hong Kong and London.

The Trazees award event has entered its 11th year and was held by FXExpress Publications, the parent company of the travel magazine Global Traveler. This year, there were 804,482 people participating in the voting.

According to Seoul officials, this repeated recognition shows the growing global attractiveness of the city. Korean cultural popularity around the world, mix of traditional and modern attractions, digital-based tourism infrastructure, and reputation as the main destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) are decisive factors.

After receiving the award, the city government conveyed plans to continue to develop tourism content that suits the tastes of the younger generation. In addition to expanding their marketing strategy, they also want to provide a unique and pleasant travel experience.

Previously, Seoul had received international recognition several times. In February, Tripadvisor placed Seoul as the best city for solo travel. Meanwhile, in December 2024, Seoul was again named the best city for MICE by the Global Traveler for 10 consecutive years.

According to Union of International Associations (UIA) data in July, Seoul was ranked first in Asia and third in the world from 1,034 cities in terms of organizing international conferences.

"With the combination of tourism, business, culture and art, Seoul will continue to strive to become a city loved by the world community." said Seoul Tourism Organization CEO, Kil Ki-yon.
