Nikita Mirzani Calls Chat Asking Reza Gladys For Money Just Joking

JAKARTA - The trial of cases of alleged threats and money laundering (TPPU) involving actress Nikita Mirzani has been held again.

At this trial, Nikita Mirzani was present as a witness in the trial of his assistant, Ismail Marzuki alias Mail. One of the most crucial moments in the trial was when the Public Prosecutor (JPU) read out a WhatsApp conversation in which Nikita Mirzani explicitly stated that she only wanted money.

In front of the panel of judges, Nikita claimed that her statement was just a joke. The prosecutor read out a chat in which Nikita responded to the meeting plan between Doctor Oky and Reza Gladys.

"Witness Nikita said, 'I just want the money,'" said the public prosecutor during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday, August 21.

Chat tersebut dilanjutkan dengan diskusi mengenai uang tutup mutup dan uang buat untuk nggak menggang-ganggu ke depan.

When asked for confirmation regarding the meaning of his statement, Nikita tried to reduce it as a casual chat that was not serious.

"Yes, for me to meet people, meet the person if there is no important business, what for?... It's WhatsApp, you don't know what it means to joke, or be serious, or what. So at that time I was just joking WhatsApp like that," explained Nikita Mirzani.

He also added that not all conversations via text are assumed to be serious.

"Mother must have assumed that WhatsApp was a serious chat. Even though this is it, it was joking at that time," he concluded.

Previously, Reza Gladys was with her husband, dr. Attaubah Mufid and two other people were presented by the public prosecutor (JPU) as witnesses.

In the previous trial, Reza explained the chronology that he was allegedly threatened and blackmailed by Nikita Mirzani and his assistant, Ismail Marzuki alias Mail, amounting to IDR 4 billion.

"'It can destroy Reza Gladys's credibility as a doctor, I guarantee!' From WhatsApp forward from Ismail Marzuki. Ismail Marzuki said, 'Nikita Mirzani, if you have spoken up, you will be listened to by high-ranking officials'," said Reza Gladys during the trial, Thursday, July 24.

"(Mail said) 'Yes, it's sad that his mouth dock (Nikita Mirzani uses money'). Ismail asked for a nominal amount of Rp 5 billion as money to cover Nikita Mirzani," continued Reza Gladys.

Out of fear and fear for his reputation that has been built for decades, Reza admitted that he was trying to negotiate.

"I answered, 'if it's Rp. 4M, what about Mail?' Because at that time I was afraid that my credibility as a doctor would be destroyed, even though a dozen years had been built," he continued.
