Red And White Week Tamasya, Instill The Love Of The Republic Of Indonesia Since Early Childhood Through Fun Ways

JAKARTA - The independence series of the Republic of Indonesia, which was 80 years old, felt different from the presence of the "Red and White Week Taman Asuh Sayang Anak (Tamasya)" program which was initiated by the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN).

This activity took place on August 11 and targeted children from Sabang to Merauke. During the Red and White Week, Tamasya, children were invited to know the nation's heroes through creative competitions.

There are those who act as struggle figures such as Prince Diponegoro, General Sudirman, Cut Nyak Dien, to RA Kartini. There are also activities to color the image of heroes, sing struggle songs, and play Pancasila-themed games.

The Minister of Population and Family Development, Dr. H. Wihaji, S.Ag., M.Pd., said that this activity was not just a series of independence competitions, but a tangible form of planting national values from an early age.

"This is where the forerunners of our next generation have a love for the red and white and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, with various simple but meaningful expressions," said Wihaji at the BKKBN office, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 19.

All activities on this agenda are deliberately designed with a pleasant approach so that national values are easily accepted by children.

According to Wihaji, in this simple way, children learn about history, respect for struggle, and grow pride as part of Indonesia.

This program is an important investment for the future. He believes that children who are used to knowing and loving their nation from an early age will grow to become a strong generation and have character.

"It may look simple, but for me this is very important. From activities like this, children will get used to telling stories about history, about heroes, and about independence," he said.

Family and community-based approach, BKKBN hopes that Red and White Week Tamasya can become an inclusive national learning room. Not only celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, this activity also emphasizes that the love of the country must be nurtured from an early age.
