JAKARTA - Gal Gadot explained his comments after commenting on the failure of the Snow White film in theaters. He played the role of Evil Queen who faced Rachel Zegler as Snow White.

The live-action version of Snow White has drawn criticism for various reasons, some of which are due to the role of Snow White, Zegler, who is of Latin descent and does not match the animated version.

Gal Gadot was also criticized for being Israeli and known for her defense of Israel, especially in the midst of conflict with Palestine. Rachel Zegler voiced her support for Palestine.

In an interview, he claimed to be well-shooting with Zegler who is known as a Palestinian supporter.

"What happens with all kinds of industries, and in Hollywood, there is pressure on celebrities to speak against Israel. I can always explain and try to explain the context of what happened and the reality, but in the end, people decide for themselves," Gal Gadot quoted The Jerusalem Post as saying.

"I am disappointed that the film was affected by it and did not receive a good response in theaters," he said.

The comments spread and became a negative response to Gal Gadot. He realized this until he decided to make a clarification on Instagram Story.
