JAKARTA - The fashion and lifestyle festival, the Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JF3) 2025, is again a witness to the splendor of cross-cultural creativity. On the third day, JF3 displayed a number of Indonesian and international designers.

The designers who performed were ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS), Korean designers (Doucan, RE RHEE, and REONVE), Metamorph by Jack, and Hartono Gan. The event began with a fashion show from Metamorph by Jack.

From Malang, Zack, behind the Metamorph label, displays a collection of children titled Art of Future. The touch of sustainability and social empowerment became the foundation of the design.

"We empower local housewives to be involved in production, and use the remaining material as a commitment to sustainability," Zack explained, when met at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

With embroidery techniques and hand patchwork onplace materials and knits, this collection shows that children's fashion can also be serious in concepts, aesthetics, and values.

Next is the appearance of AFDS featuring visual narratives rich in symbolism and traditional textile Goodminton from Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. Laos' Bandid Lasavong opens a show with a collection of The Whisper of Silk.

The silhouette depicting the old money style combined with hand-woven Laos silk implies nostalgia and pride in cultural heritage.

From Thailand, Pitnapat Yotinratanachai presented The Pulse of Pride, with elephant motifs engraved in skin embosses, abstract ivory in accessories, and manifold cloaks. The collection is not only about symbolic power, but also about national identity packaged in modern aesthetics.

Meanwhile, Nicky Vu from Vietnam brought the world into fantasy through a collection inspired by A Midsumer Night's Dream. Brokat, tulle, and fine flora decorations brought the Vietnamese forest fairy tale atmosphere to life.

"I want the audience to feel like they are walking in a dream," said Vu.

Then the third runway from the three Korean designers, namely Doucan, RE RHEE, and REONVE. Doucan, under the direction of Junebok Rhee, presents a collection of theatricals with ethnic print, red and gold, as well as a hair bag from a usedbag as dramatic details.

Next, RE RHEE features a contemplative work titled This Appearance; Disappearance, discussing the wisdom of mode and identity. With transparent materials and fragile silhouettes, this collection inspires contemplation about the meaning of existence.

Then, REONVE's Baek Juhee features Whispers of Heritage, a tribute to Korea's hanbok. Combining modern techniques with traditional forms such as git and aek-jureum, this collection is designed using Korean silk from family companies. Minhwa motifs and hanbok structures carry strong messages about cultural preservation in the globalization era.

The last appearance of Indonesian designer Hartono Gan is back with a collection of Tailored for You. He explores the strength and gentleness of women.

"I believe one of the simplest ways to empower women is through fashion. Everyone has the right to feel as good as they can see," Hartono said.

This collection reflects the harmony between a firm masculine cut and a sensual soft dress. The lamb skin shirt, a silk failure suit, and precision tailing became a mainstay.
