Sun Children Film Screened At Iranian Film Festival, Director Majid Majidi Praises Indonesia

JAKARTA - The 2021 Oscar-nominated film, Sun Children, is the opening film for the Iranian Film Festival at Klik Film. Renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi attended the opening of the Iranian Film Festival, which was held by Klik Film from May 5 to 20, 2021.

Majid Majidi was present as a virtual speaker, accompanied by moderator Riri Riza. In the event, Majid Majidi admitted that he was happy that the Iranian Film Festival was held by Klik Film which incidentally came from Indonesia. The reason is, he feels that Indonesia and Iran have something in common.

"I see that children in that country can build a good future for the nation. Children are a very important treasure for all of us, so I make films that are related to children so that I can focus on raising children in one country, not only in my country but all over the world. Currently, there are around 150 million children who are used to work hard in their childhood. That's why I want to focus on making films related to children, so that their voices can be heard all over the world", he said.

“All my work through children, I illustrate that a child will never stop for something better. Likewise with all thoughts of a child, of course, kindness, all my films always show that there is always hope, desire, the character always tries and doesn't want to stop until they reach their goals and desires.
