JAKARTA - The production of the film The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been started as confirmed by 20th Century Studios through their social media accounts. The four main actors are also confirmed to join this sequel, from Anne Hathaway toximation Streep.

A short video featuring two red pump shoes which is the iconic logo for the Devil Wears Prada film poster is the key to the return of this film.

ani Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley tucci will return to play their respective characters, besides that there is Kenneth Branagh who is a new player.

Kenneth Branagh plays the husband of Miranda Presley (Meryl Streep), editor in chief of Runway magazine.

The Devil Wears Prada film is an adaptation of the novel by Lauren Weisberger. This 2004 film tells the story of Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) who works in a leading fashion magazine but has a superior with a myriad of requests.

Although the plot has not been announced, it is reported that its premise will focus on Miranda Priestly's life in navigating a career in the midst of declining magazine industry. She is dealing with Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) who was once her assistant and is now an executive for advertising companies.

Apart from the cast, two writers and directors: David Frankel and Aline Brosh McKenna also wrote and directed the sequel.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
