JAKARTA - Efforts to introduce regional cultural wealth no longer rely solely on live performances, but also through digital strategies that are wider in reach.

South Korea also plays an active role in encouraging Jambi Province to strengthen its cultural promotion through the production of local-based digital content.

Through the Rumah Indonesiana program, South Korea provides concrete support in the form of training in making cultural content to the Jambi youth. This program will run until 2027, and aims to print hundreds of content creators who raise regional cultural values in digital format.

Head of the Jambi Provincial Culture and Tourism Office, Imron Rosyadi, explained that Jambi is one of the appointed areas because it is considered to have great potential, especially from young people who are active on social media. Training will be conducted twice a week, with a target of printing 200 creators in the first two years.

"This program is directed at encouraging the growth of content creativity centers sourced from local values. Young people will learn directly from experts how to produce interesting and cultural content," said Imron in Jambi, as quoted by ANTARA.

Apart from Jambi, the Indonesian House program was also rolled out in several other provinces, including DKI Jakarta, Bali, West Java, South Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara. DKI Jakarta became the first area to start implementing this program, while Jambi followed as part of the program expansion.

Imron added that the role of the local government is to provide facilities and attract training participants. In Jambi, this training activity is centered in a cultural park that has been an interacting place for art and regional culture actors.
