Asked About Making A Social Media Account For Children, Chand Kelvin: Fear Of Exploitation

JAKARTA - Being a new parent brings many considerations to actor Chand Kelvin, including the decision to create a special social media account for his first child. Even though that wish exists, Chand admits that he is still doubtful because he considers ethics and security.

"I want it to be like that (making social media accounts for children) but looking at my sister and my friends, if you make an account, I'm afraid that it will be used by children or not? There are several accounts that eventually endorse all kinds of things, so it's big and it's flooded," said Chand Kelvin in the Manggarai area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 15.

As a public figure, Chand felt the need to be careful in sharing his family's moments of happiness with the public. He wanted to keep sharing valuable moments, but without creating an impression of exploitation.

"Yes, if you want to post, just post all kinds of happiness, not like exploitation. Yes, maybe because his father is in entertainment, maybe he will get an impression, just hasn't yet," he continued.

Furthermore, Chand also revealed the meaning of his son's name which was chosen with full consideration with his wife, Dea.

"This means that I want the name myself, Dea, we want this first child, the call from C, we continue to look for a different name with the initials C, and there are not many names everywhere," explained Chand Kelvin.

"Finally, I thought his name was Cadmael, which means a leader, if Ahmad is the first name of the Prophet Muhammad, then Dalsher Chandegra is the result of the suppression of me and Dhea, the important thing is that there is a combination of my name and Dhea," he said.

Chand also shared details about the baby's birth. "The length is 45 cm, if the weight is in accordance with the predictions of doctor Reno 2400 grams or 2.4 kg," he concluded.
