Donald Trump Announces 100% Tariff Increase For Filming Foreign Films In The US

JAKARTA - The President of the United States, Donald Trump announced the application of a 100% tariff for filmmaking outside the US. This regulation was distributed after the struggling Hollywood film industry.

The film industry in America is dying. Other countries offer incentives to attract filmmakers and production houses from the United States. Hollywood and other areas in the US are being demolished. This is a joint effort by other countries and, therefore, a threat to National Security," Donald Trump wrote on Sunday, May 4.

I ordered the United States Ministry of Trade and Trade Representatives to start applying 100% tariffs to all and all films coming to our country produced in foreign countries. WE WANT THE FILM TO BE MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN! " he continued.

Complete information about the 100% tariff increase has not been disclosed and it is not yet known whether this has an impact on foreign films or just the production of the United States.

Many films produced outside America, not because they avoid the country but looking for locations that suit the needs of the story.

At the time this rule was announced, several Hollywood films were going through filming outside America, including Avengers: Doomsday in London and The Odyssey in Italy and Moroko.

This rule is Donald Trump's new move in Hollywood after previously appointing Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight as ambassadors for the American film industry in January.

Since the appointment, nothing has been done by the three of them with Trump.
