JAKARTA - SNSD's Taeyeon shared a fan statement asking SM Entertainment for an explanation regarding the cancellation of the idol's single concert in Japan.
On April 17, SM Entertainment announced through Taeyeon's official website that the cancellation of the TENSE concert which was supposed to be held on 19 and 20 at the Tokyo Ariake Arena. The agency explained that the tools used for Asian tours did not arrive in Japan on time, making it difficult to hold concerts on schedule.
A Japanese concert a few days after Taeyeon's concert in Jakarta on April 12. However, they did not explain whether there was a new date for a concert in Japan.
A day later, Taeyeon wrote a message for fans through a fan platform by writing, "When I heard of the cancellation of a Japanese concert, I was very worried about my fans and felt disappointed."
"I don't like this situation and I feel guilty for my fans. Performances made with hard work and expectations are taken instantly and I don't know how to express this empty and sad feeling," he said.

On April 24, Taeyeon re-shared an official statement from the Taeyeon fan group asking SM Entertainment for an explanation regarding the cancellation of the concert.
In that statement, fans criticized SM Entertainment for the cancellation two days before the concert and the agency's failure to communicate with fans.
In addition, no official statement was released via Taeyeon's social media considering that many fans from outside Japan had already traveled. Plans to replace concerts in Japan were also not delivered.
