JAKARTA - The Central Seoul District Court rejected the appeal filed by the NewJeans after they were barred from carrying out activities individually or independently.
In March, the court received a request for ADOR labels so that NewJeans members could not carry out independent activities including signing contracts without ADOR's knowledge. They explained that NewJeans is still under contract with the HYBE label.
The request was filed after several NewJeans members promoted without using the NewJeans group for several brands such as Calvin Klein and Omega.
After NewJeans members formally filed an appeal, the court conducted a trial to evaluate the results.

Wednesday, April 16, the Seoul Court rejected the appeal and decided in accordance with ADOR's filing at the initial trial.
"Given the claims and supporting material (which NewJeans members repeatedly emphasized) through this appeal, by reading notes, one can judge that this decision is fair", the judge quoted Yonhap as saying.
NewJeans responded by saying, "We will continue to participate in the upcoming legal process and do our best so that the facts can be clearly revealed."
