Snow White Banned From Showing In Lebanon, Gal Gadot Is On The Boycott List

JAKARTA - Disney's newest film, Snow White, is prohibited from showing in Lebanese theaters. This news was announced by local authorities who ordered the entire cinema network to show the film.

Citing Variety, Ahmad Al-Hajjar as Minister of Home Affairs for Lebanon asked for no screening of this film amid Israeli attacks on Hezbollah, Lebanon, which caused casualties.

However, a distributor representative for Lebanon, Italy Films revealed that Gal Gadot is one of the aspects included in Israel's boycott list. As a result, none of the films starring Gadot were shown in the country.

The distributor also said that the Snow White film was also prohibited from being shown in Kuwait.

Gal Gadot, who was born and raised in Israel, served in the Israel Defense Forces. He is known as one of Israel's supporters and voiced him through a speech and attended several diplomatic events.

I never imagined on the streets of the United States and other cities around the world, we see people not criticizing Hamas but celebrating and supporting the murder of Jews, one of his snippets of his speech at the Anti-Defamation League Annual Meeting in New York some time ago.

The boycott of Gal Gadot also indirectly had an impact on Snow White's low income compared to other adaptations.

This is not the first time Lebanon has banned the screening of a film. Previously, Lebanon did not show the film Captain America: Brave New World because of one of the actors, Shira Haas who is an Israeli national.
