NJZ (NewJeans) Announces Temporary Vacuum After Appearing In Hong Kong

JAKARTA - The day after their performance in Hong Kong, NJZ or NewJeans announced that they would be temporarily vacuuming from their public activities.

On March 23, they appeared as NJZ and performed a new song titled 'Pit Stop'. The performance took place two days after the Seoul Central Court received a request from their old agency, ADOR so that NewJeans members could not move with the name NJZ individually or in groups.

NJZ will appeal and remain on ComplexCon Hong Kong, but ADOR announced they will send staff to support members on site.

At the concert, NJZ also read out an official statement, saying, "Respecting the court's decision, we decided to pause all of our activities now, but that doesn't mean we're going to attack... this is a step for a break."

Monday, March 24, NJZ released a statement to the public regarding their decision to take a hiatus.

"This stage means a lot to all of us and all of you who give us strength. It's hard to say, but it might be our last stage for a moment," said NJZ.

"To be honest, we knew from the start that this trip was not easy and even though we accepted the court's results, we had to talk about maintaining the values we believed in and that's not a choice we regret. We believe we stand for rights and everything we believe in," he continued.

"We believe this announcement is disappointing but it's not an easy decision for us. But this moment is also a reflection for us to come back strong," they continued.

In a separate statement, ADOR regretted that NewJeans members appeared with a new name and then chose a vacuum. They still hope to discuss with the members to discuss the future of NewJeans.
