Disney's Robin Hood Animation

JAKARTA - Disney reported remake (remake) of one of their animation productions, Robin Hood. The film, which was released in 1973, will be released for Disney Plus.

Reporting from NME, Monday, April 13, the work on a new version of Robin Hood has begun. Carlos Lopez Estrada, who has made music videos for the Goo Goo Dolls, Passion Pit and Billie Eilish several times, will direct.

For the script, this film will be handled by Kari Granlund who previously wrote Lady and the Tramp. This will be his second project with Disney in adaptation scriptwriting. So far, there are no confirmed actors who will take part in the legend.

The COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus has also hindered the Robin Hood production process. The production team is also only running the initial stages of production, so nothing can be further reported.

This film will show the live action and CGI animation side instead of using drawing techniques like the original version. Robin Hood will continue the legacy of Disney's classic adaptations after Aladdin, The Lion King, and Lady and the Tramp.

Previously, Mulan was ready to be released to the public on March 25, 2020 but had to experience delays due to COVID-19.

Not only Robin Hood, the film The Little Mermaid is also being prepared for its live action version. Disney is still in the stage of selecting actors and actresses who will play in this film.

The Robin Hood adaptation is also Disney Plus' strategy to increase subscribers after reportedly gaining more than 50 million subscribers within five months. Disney Plus just launched its app in the UK, although the video quality had to be lowered due to the increasing number of viewers staying at home in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
