Yoo Yeon Seok Called IDR 78 Billion Tax Fine, Voice Opening Agency

JAKARTA - Yoo Yeon Seok reportedly received a tax fine after undergoing a tax investigation. His agency, Kingkong by Starship gave a statement to the public to avoid mistakes.

Friday, March 14, it was reported that the National Tax Service conducted a tax audit on Yoo Yeon Seok and found an additional tax fee of 7 billion won or equivalent to Rp. 78 billion.

The findings were obtained after exploring the tax on the establishment of Forever Entertainment, an agency founded by Yoo Yeon Seok. He is said to have opposed the tax decision and filed an appeal.

"This problem arises due to different interpretations and application of tax laws between our tax representatives and the tax authorities. We are waiting for the final decision from the tax authorities after the review," Kingkong by Starship said on the same day.

"This started when the National Tax Service classified Yoo Yeon Seok's five-year revenue from YouTube content production as an extension of his career in the entertainment world, as well as businesses and food added as a non-tax personal income tax for the company," they explained.

"This results in a personal income tax being imposed on incomes that have been reported as corporate taxes," he said.

The agency confirmed that Yoo Yeon Seok was a tax-abiding figure so that he ensured that he always fulfilled his responsibility as a citizen.

"Yoo Yeon Seok always prioritizes fulfilling tax obligations and will continue to comply with all laws and procedures that run as responsible citizens," he said.
