JAKARTA - The single exhibition of contemporary artists from Bandung, Arkiv Vilmansa, entitled "SEMESTA ARKIV" has been held at the Indonesian National Gallery from February 22 to May 11, 2025.

This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Museum and Cultural Heritage of the Indonesian National Gallery, Studio Arkiv, and the Zen1 Gallery.

The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 19.00 WIB, with fashion designer Didit Hediprasetyo as the opening ceremony. Curated by Rizki A. Zaelani, this exhibition offers a philosophical perspective inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche's thoughts: "We have the art of not experiencing reality deaths."

Arkiv Vilmansa's works are presented as a space for dialogue between contemporary art and reality, where technology is not just an element, but also a tool to strengthen human creative expressions.

Diving Arkiv Vilmansa's world of imagination

This exhibition features Arkiv's creative journey known as color exploration, imaginative character, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Visitors will be invited to explore the five main parts of the exhibition spread across several Indonesian National Gallery buildings:

The Sea of All Colors in Building A presents the latest phase of change and update by Arkiv inspired by marine life. This part is part of Arkiv's long exploration of art, which continues to develop to date.

The synthesis at Building B shows the results of Arkiv's collaboration with other artists such as Sunaryo, Darbotz, Erwin Windu Pranata, and Mulyana (Mangmoel). This section illustrates the dynamics of cooperation in the art world as well as the development of the discourse on Indonesian art.

Metapor of Memory at Building D presents Arkiv's journey as an artist who is also struggling in the world of design, fashion, and architecture. This section shows the evolution of Mickiv's character in his work and marks an important moment in his art creation.

Monument of Sense (MICKIV HOPE X SUNARYO), which is also in Building D, is a special Arkiv collaboration project with the Sunaryo, presenting deep reflections on the expression of art and the meaning it contains.

Widya Segara (Wisdom of the Sea) in the outdoor area displays the installation of giant whale balloons named Raga and Runa. This installation is a symbol of Arkiv's concern for the sea as a source of invaluable life and culture for the people of Indonesia.

In the "SEMESTA ARKIV", visitors will not only be presented with iconic works such as Mickiv series and the installation of Widya Segara, but also collaboration with various well-known artists. This exhibition confirms that art can be a place for reflection, freedom of expression, and medium to understand the complexity of modern times. With an approach that combines traditions and innovations, this exhibition invites the public to see how art can be a wider means of communication, surpassing conventional medium boundaries.

Deeply curated and presenting immersive experiences, "ARKIV SEMESTA" is a space for exploration that opens dialogue between art, humans, and technology. This exhibition is not just a celebration of the work of an artist, but also an invitation to experience how art can provide a new perspective in everyday life.
