JAKARTA - Tripadvisor has just revealed the best beaches for 2025 at the Travellers' Choice Awards, which features favorite beaches for reviewers around the world based on an in-depth analysis of review data on their websites.

The best beach in the world for this year falls on Elafionisi Beach which is located on the island of Crete, Greece. The beach is up 23 places to reach the top position.

In addition, in the top five globals there are other prominent beaches, such as Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand (second place), Eagle Beach in Aruba, Caribbean (third place), Siesta Beach in Florida, USA (fourth place), and Praia da Falesia in Algarve, Portugal ( fifth place).

The most astonishing thing is that Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida, Bali, managed to rank 9th in the Travellers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Beaches 2025, up significantly from 16th position in the previous year. This beach has received 1664 reviews from TripAdvisor users.

The main attraction is the extraordinary rock formation, enchanting white sand, and charming greenish blue sea. The shape of the cliff similar to the dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Rex made him known as T-Rex Bay.

From the top of the cliff, visitors can enjoy extraordinary views, including a curved coastline, waves that break the coral, and a wide blue sky. This beach is a mandatory destination for tourists to like adventure, because access to the beach is quite challenging, with steep and rocky stairs.

The best time to visit Kelingking Beach is during the dry season, between April and October. During sunny weather, visitors can enjoy amazing natural scenery and unforgettable experiences.

A TripAdvisor user suggests coming in the morning, before many tourists arrive. He also reminded that traveling to the beach requires good stamina. In addition, he does not recommend swimming because the waves and currents are quite strong.

"You will climb a very steep, narrow mountain slope with a bamboo handle or tree that is not well maintained. The beach is very beautiful, but please be careful before leaving," wrote TripAdvisor user.

"This beach offers some of the most amazing views in Bali and is really worth the effort to achieve it. Whether you climb to the beach to enjoy loneliness or just want to enjoy the view from the point of view, this experience will not be forgotten," said another TripAdvisor user.
