Acting Debut, Dahyun TWICE Is Burdened But Happy To Play High School Children

JAKARTA - Dahyun TWICE marked his acting debut in the film You Are The Apple of My Eye Korea (KR). He competed acting with Jinyoung B1A4 in a film adapted from the legendary Taiwanese film.

"Two years ago I came to Indonesia for a concert, but this is the first time I've come as an actress. The feelings are very new," Dahyun said at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday, February 10.

Dahyun admitted that he was burdened when he played a high school student. He plays O Seon A, a student who is liked by Koo Jin U (Jinyoung).

"Because I haven't been in the film for so long, so I'm very happy," said Dahyun.

"I really wanted to act as a student and it turned out that when the offer came in as a student character. I really enjoyed acting and with a happy heart, I received a very offer of Seon A's character," he explained.

Dahyun also got the freedom to explore the character according to his and the director's wishes. Even though he has watched the original film, the TWICE member tries to put his own character together.

"I've watched the original work but right after reading the script, I didn't watch it anymore because I wanted to create my own character without following the original too much," explained Dahyun again.

You Are The Apple of My Eye tells the story of Jin U (Jinyoung) and his friends who like Seon A (Dahyun), a talented student with good visuals. Although difficult to reach, in fact Seon A and Jin U began to get close to each other until feelings grew with each other.

The film You Are The Apple of My Eye will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting February 21.
