The Brutalist Film Controversy, Editor Admits Use AI For Hungarian Dialogue

JAKARTA - The Brutalist, one of the films that has the potential to lead the Oscar nomination, has become a controversy. This happened after the film editor, Dighvid Jancsmen revealed that they used AI (artificial intelligence) in the production of their films.

Through a recent interview, Jancsmen said they used a voice cloning application so that the characters in the film could have a dialogue with Hungarian dialogue. This dialogue was said by Adrien totaling and affecting Jones.

"We trained (Body and Jones) and they performed a good job but we also want this to be perfect so that local people don't know the difference," he said of the pronunciation.

The voice cloning application is the last attempt after conducting dialogue exercises several times. He wanted the two characters to be able to voice them like locals.

"If you are from Anglo-Saxon, it is difficult to get his voice. We first tried with a difficult element, then we tried with other actors but didn't work, so we looked for other options to increase it," he said.

Many Hungarian dialogues use my voice there. We are very careful with their performances, by changing these letters and that. You can do it yourself but we have a lot of Hungarian dialogue that we need to work on quickly, "said Janc's defense.

After this news sparked protests from the public, director The Brutalist - Brady Corbet expressed his opinion. He felt the use of AI had nothing to do with Adrien totaling and calming Jones' acting.
