Voucher Sorop Movie Tickets Embezzled, Manoj Punjabi Reports Police

JAKARTA - Two individuals who worked at the printing company, H and Y, reported MD Pictures to the Kemayoran Police on December 5. The two men were reported under the article of embezzlement that could potentially harm MD Pictures up to hundreds of millions for duplicating voucher tiker for the film Sorop.

The ticket has been circulated even though the Sorop film, which is adapted from a viral story by SimpleMan, will only be shown in theaters starting December 19. The act of embezzlement of ticket vouchers watching by these printing persons is very regrettable by Manoj Punjabi as producer and CEO of MD Pictures.

"This is a problem. We want to carry out a promotional strategy, it becomes a problem because the vouchers are duplicated. It's a big problem. We want promotion, so what, MD must be responsible, and this involves a large number that doesn't make sense," said Manoj Punjabi at the Gala Premiers event. Sorop film, XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday, December 13.

Manoj admitted that he did not expect that in the country's growing film industry there would be such fraud. According to him, this incident tarnished the world of cinema. Manoj hopes that the problems that occur in the Sorop film can be resolved soon and in the future there will be no more problems like this.

"So, I hope that certain parties who are taking care of this can solve it. Don't let problems like this happen again," said Manoj.
