JAKARTA - Buya Hamka film produced by Falcon Pictures and Starvision has completed the filming process. The film, starring Vino Bastian as Buya Hamka, released a stunning first look.

Vino is featured in two different appearances, Buya Hamka young and old. Vino's appearance is very different and resembles the figure of Buya Hamka. Vino apparently uses prosthetics to get a resemblance to Buya Hamka.

Vino Bastian admits to going through a long process, to get the role as Buya Hamka. Adjusting the schedule and timing of filming becomes an initial obstacle.

"I've got this role from 2017 just realized now because of constraints and there are some castings that I've received but I have to be met with others, fit or not," Vino said in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, April 13.

Vino also had to use prosthetics to get a resemblance to Buya Hamka's facial expression. "I have to do the makeup test again. Yes, facially is so hard to be likened. But helped with makeup and prosthetics. Hopefully, this prosthetic can also help," he recalled. 

Not only casting acting, but Vino Bastian also had to be tested to read the Koran. "So the casting process is not just met continue to be able to, but there are more tests. I have also been tested to read the Quran so, yes everything I think to reach a higher level sure the effort is greater," he explained.
