In achieving this success, Bill Gates did many things. However, as reported by the Times of India, Friday, December 6, 2024, he has one habit that helps him to succeed, namely reading books.

Bill Gates is said to often say reading is very important in his personal and professional life. He spends hours every day reading, with a preference for non-fiction work to expand his understanding of the world.

In his post on Linkedln, Bill Gates revealed that the advice he will provide for younger ones is to 'bread a lot' and find the skills he likes. His focus on learning to read books is to believe that knowledge is the key to making a positive impact.

The man who was born in Seattle, United States said that when he often chooses to read books if he is not feeling well. For him reading provides an in-depth and important lesson for his success.

"When I feel restless or bored or get into trouble for bad behavior, I will disappear in my room and sink into the book. Often that time for hours without interruption," said Bill Gates.

"The ability to convert free time into deep thought and learning is a fundamental part of me. It is also important for my success in the future," he added.

In addition to reading, another habit Bill Gates often does is isolate himself. In the 1990s, he once isolated himself into a remote cabin in the wild, accompanied by only a large bag containing books and technical documents.

During the self-isolation, Gates is said to be committed to fully concentrating without interruption. He doesn't check incoming emails, he just reads, thinks, and writes.

Regarding the habit of self-isolating is said to be a good thing by productivity expert, Laura Stack. This helps to focus without being disturbed by various other things.

"We have to create an environment that gives us the ability to focus our minds without interference from co-workers, spouses, children, pets, and technology, or we will never be able to concentrate on high-level activities," Laura Stack quoted CNBC as saying.
