JAKARTA - Television channel The CW teased fans by releasing the first look of the live-action series Powerpuff which is a reboot of the cartoon series The Powerpuff Girls.
Through social media, The CW shared photos of Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault playing Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The three looked grown-up dressed according to their identities.

Powerpuff will tell the story of former superheroes in their 20s and lament their childhood lives filled with fighting crime.

The series is directed by Maggie Kiley and written by Diablo Cody and produced by Heather Regnier.
In addition to the three main casts, the live-action series will be played by Donald Faison, Nicholas Podany, and Robyn Lively. Tom Kenny will be the narrator as in the cartoon version.
The CW itself has not announced when the Powerpuff series will air but they are currently in production.
