Soyeon Contract Completed, All Members (G) I-DLE Continue Contract With CUBE Entertainment

JAKARTA - All members (G)I-DLE officially extended their exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment. Previously, Soyeon as the leader reportedly did not continue the contract which was due to expire last November.

While attending the 2024 Melon Music Award, (G) I-DLE received the Daesang award for Record of the Year. Soyeon gave a speech at the same time stating that her contract status with the agency was over in November.

"My contract has been completed and recently many articles have stated (G) I-DLE disbanded or (G)I-DLE is complete. But it's not myself but the five of us decided to continue the joint contract," said Jeon Soyeon.

"We discussed before performing today. Not only me but yes we are the five of us together. Next year, next and forever so I hope NEVERLAND doesn't worry. We will return with good music next year," he continued.

Monday, December 2, CUBE Entertainment released a statement that they are renewing an exclusive contract with five members: Jeon Soyeon, Shuhua, Minnie, Miyeon, and Yuqi.

"We are proud to announce successful contract updates with all members (G)I-DLE including the ending Soyeon and Shuhua, Minnie, Miyeon, and Yuqi with the rest of their contracts," said CUBE Entertainment, which indicates that Soyeon's contract time was earlier than the four members.

"We want to thank (G)I-DLE for the trust and commitment that made this happen. We will continue with new steps and hope fans welcome this news," they continued.

"Through this new contract, we are committed to strengthening the brand (G)I-DLE built for 7 years," he said.

(G)I-DLE last released a studio album, 2 and an English album titled HEAT. They also toured the world throughout 2023 until this year.
