JAKARTA - Recently, Chinese people are fond of foods made using durian. One that is very popular is durian pizza.

Launching from VN Express, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, reports that one in every four types of pizza sold in China today is durian pizza. China's Yum CEO, Joey Wat, said that durian pizza is currently categorized as the number one best-selling unique pizza in China.

The fast food restaurant in the country selling durian pizza recorded the sale of 30 million durian pizzas throughout 2024. This is proof that durian pizza is very popular with the Chinese people today.

Durian Pizza has been launched since eight years ago. According to the annual report, in 2023, durian pizza managed to generate revenue of up to 100 million dollars.

Meanwhile, China is known as a country that is prone to durian spending. The country has even become the largest consumer and durian importer in the world, which in 2023 imports 1.4 million tonnes of durian with a value of 6.72 billion dollars.

Durian himself is a popular strong aroma fruit and is widely found in Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. These fruits can be in a variety of typical foods, such as durian cakes, ice cream, and others.
