Development Of Typical Tourism Village Identity Can Be An Attractiveness For Tourists

Jakarta Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT), Yandri Susanto, appealed to tourist villages in Indonesia to prioritize the local uniqueness of each region.

"If the potential of the village is developed optimally, the village can provide significant income," said Mendes Yandri during a working visit to Tukamasea Village, Bantimurung District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, Monday. This was conveyed through an official statement received in Jakarta.

He emphasized that the development of a typical identity of a tourist village can strengthen its attractiveness, so that more and more tourists are interested in visiting.

Furthermore, Yandri, who previously served as Deputy Chair of the MPR RI, stated that the development of tourist villages was able to have a positive impact on the local economy.

According to him, the tourism sector is one of the strategic fields that not only encourages regional economic growth, but also creates jobs for the local community.

"Tourism villages like this, if they are able to generate revenues of up to almost half a billion rupiah per year, of course they can open up many opportunities. So, continue to innovate and don't be complacent, Mr. Kades," he ordered.

In addition, Mendes Yandri also highlighted village opportunities in the fisheries and marine sectors. He mentioned that products such as dry fish, salted fish, fish crackers, abon, and teration can be further developed as potential for the village economy.

According to him, various processed products resulting from the creativity of the village community have high added value and can be widely marketed, both in local and national markets.

"This potential can provide great benefits. Therefore, villages must take advantage of opportunities in the fisheries and marine sectors well," he added.

During the visit, Mendes Yandri was accompanied by several officials, including the Director General of Economic Development and Village Investment (PEID) of the Ministry of Villages PDTT, Harlina Sulistyorini, Head of BPSDM Kemendes PDTT, Luthfiyah Nurlaela, and a number of high-ranking Pratama leaders within the Ministry of Villages PDTT.
