Train To Busan: Peninsula First Trailer Showcases The Exciting Battle Of Zombies And Humans

JAKARTA - After a series of teaser photos released a few months ago, Train to Busan: Peninsula released its first teaser trailer yesterday, Wednesday, April 1. The trailer features Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun in full.

Peninsula will be set four years after the zombie outbreak in Train to Busan. Unlike the first story set in a city. Peninsula tells of a wasted place. Jung Seok (Kang Dong Won), is a former soldier who is given a mission to a place filled with zombies. Apparently, at that place he met other survivors.

In the teaser video, Peninsula does not provide any narrative description. Throughout the video, it is filled with battles between zombies and humans. Apart from Jung Seok, there is Minjung (Lee Jung Hyun) who is clearly visible in the trailer. The description is also no joke, "The only way is to survive."

Yeon Sang Ho as the director said that Peninsula was not a sequel to Train to Busan but only a continuation of the previous story so that the two stories happened at one time.

Had rumored to be released next summer, Peninsula has not provided further confirmation. From the video, it says coming soon - maybe this is the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus that hasn't ended yet.

Besides presenting Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun, Peninsula presented Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min Jae, Koo Kyo Hwan, Lee Ye Won and others. Director Yeon Sang Ho also reunited with cinematographer Lee Hyung Deok, art director Lee Mokwon, and visual effects team Jung Hwang-su. Given that this is a teaser trailer, it is likely that Peninsula will release a trailer with a clearer story line.

The previous film, Train to Busan, won the box office with more than 10 million viewers. The film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival at the midnight screening and received a positive response.
