JAKARTA - There are three priority programs from the tourism industry and investment and the creative economy of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy which are maximized during the nomenclature transition process of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to two entities, namely the Ministry of Tourism (KemenPar) and the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenkraf) which are still in process.
Deputy for Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Rizki Handayani Mustafa in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (29/10/2024), said that the three priority programs in question included the first, the Tourism Business Development Support program and Creative Economy (DPUP).
This program is a follow-up to the 2023 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) program.
There are 50 tourist villages that have been determined to receive DPUP. Of these 50 villages, 11 villages were also selected to get financial literacy. So the plan is to start moving next week to provide distribution assistance," said Rizki.

Furthermore, during this transition period, we will also focus on the implementation of Blue, Green, and Circular Economy (BGCE) in the tourism sector which has collaborated with the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of VAT/Bappenas).
The sustainable tourism development program with the application of the BGCE concept has been included in the draft Technocratics for the 2025-2029 RPJMN. Guidelines concern four main sub-sectors of tourism, namely hospitality, food and drink providers, transportation, and tourism areas.
"This is what we are doing for the next two months. We need to socialize this to the tourism industry, so that the tourism sector's real role in supporting the SDGs is emphasized, and to support reducing carbon emissions," said Rizki.
In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is also focusing on inventory and identifying supply and demand for investment in various aspects.
"We are preparing who the domestic investors are, so that when January starts, we will already have this database in various regions," said Rizki.
Furthermore, Rizki revealed that the achievement of investment value in the tourism sector and the creative economy until October 2024 had reached 56 percent or USD 1.58 billion from this year's target of USD 3 billion or approximately IDR 46 trillion.
Rizki said 70 percent of tourism sector investors and the creative economy came from within the country.
Rizki also explained that the Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy Industries and Investment has a main program that has been designed throughout 2024, and it is also ensured that it will continue to be maximized during this transition period.
Among them are programs that focus on parekraf industry governance and partnerships, such as implementing the National Partnership Chain of Tourism and Creative Economy Industry (KENAROK), and the International Creative Industry Conference & Festival (IC Fest).
There are also programs that focus on investment management, where the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has provided assistance to investors, local governments, and project owners, as well as conduct investment promotions in Indonesia through the International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF) activities.
We are also increasing access to financing for the parekraf industry in the culinary, craft, fashion, digital, film, and so on sub-sectors, by collaborating with financing sources from banks and non-bankers. The activities we have been doing so far are the Indonesian Food Startup (FSI), (Indonesia Business Startup Matchmaking (Indo Bisa), and Fifty," said Rizki.
In addition, in preparing the sustainable tourism industry, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has certified the standardization of tourism actors.
"So we Kemenparekraf have to make standard guidelines, we do this together with collaboration of course with all stakeholders," said Rizki.
