Elon Musk's Plan To Develop Human Life On Mars, Scientists Reveal Difficult Pregnancy

JAKARTA - Until now, the fingers of humans visiting Mars can be counted. However, Elon Musk admits that he has imagined that one million people will build life on Mars in 2050.

The company's leaders SpaceX and Tesla plan to send a small group of astronauts to Mars by the end of the decade with their Starship, the largest rocket ever built. The astronauts sent consisted of several women and men, who are expected to reproduce and increase the population on Mars.

However, scientists say Elon Musk's hopes of creating a human population on Mars are difficult to realize. A biologist and writer, Kelly Weinersmith, even said it tends to be impossible to happen.

"They thought if they got a large enough rocket, biology would work on its own, but it wasn't," Kelly Weinersmith said, published in the Daily Mail, Monday, October 28, 2024.

Sexual activity carried out to reproduce is said to be very difficult to do on Mars. This is because on the surface of Mars, gravity is only about 38 percent compared to Earth, so the development of embryos and the movement of sperm in the pregnancy process can be hampered.

The lack of atmosphere and ozone layers on Mars also cause radiation rays to be dangerous, which can damage embryos. It also allows for DNA damage that can cause mutations in the uterus.

Not only that, if sexual intercourse on Mars is successful and can give birth to a baby, the environment on Mars will not support the baby's growth. The atmosphere of the Red Planet is not a suitable place for children to grow, it can even endanger their lives.
