JMFW 2025 Officially Opened, Indonesia's Hope To Become A Global Muslim Fashion Center

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2025 will officially open at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The opening of the JMFW was inaugurated by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan.

In his remarks, Zulkifli Hasan discussed Indonesia's economic growth. He said that the country's economic growth did not escape the influence of the development of the local Muslim fashion industry.

"We are grateful that in the midst of a non-growing economy, we have increased by 5 percent, inflation is under control. That is inseparable from the support of the brothers and sisters who develop modest fashion, including Muslim fashion," said Zulkifli Hasan.

Zulkifli Hasan said that the Muslim fashion works of the nation's children are of high quality. He said local Muslim fashion is rich in models and colors.

"How proud are the works of the country's children. Our modest fashion works are extraordinary, we are rich in models, rich in colors," he said.

Then Zulkfili Hasan hopes that in the future Indonesia can become a Muslim fashion center in the world. According to him, cooperation from various related parties is needed to make this happen.

Kita berharap kita bisa menjadi pusat atau kiblat pakaian Muslim dunia. Kata kuncang untuk semua itu adalah kerja sama, pungkas Zulkifli Hasan.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week 2025 will be held from 9 to 12 October 2024. This event presents 200 brands, with more than a thousand fashion collections.
