Once A Programmer, Kristo Immanuel Tak Sangka Became An Ambassador Of Jakarta Film Week 2024

Kristo Immanuel was appointed as ambassador for Jakarta Film Week 2024. The actor, who was originally known as the content creator, admitted that he had a lot of experience but he never thought he could be at a point like now.

I used to study films at UMN and always saw film festivals as a festival. I learned a lot from festivals. I've learned to be a programmer at a long and short film festival between Greece and Denmark. I learned a lot," Kristo Immanuel said at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 25.

"I personally see film festivals as an extraordinary event useful for industry and layman for networking. I know a lot of people from festivals," he continued.

Love for the film world was also conveyed when he began to join a number of productions such as Teka Teki Tika and most recently Kaka Boss. At this festival, he also has several films that he wants to watch.

"I really like watching movies and I hope to watch movies for free because I'm an ambassador. I want to watch I Saw The TV Glow, Paradise ofair, and a lot of animated films," he said enthusiastically.

Furthermore, the Sleep Call star did not expect one day to be the face of a festival. He wants the film festival not to be separated from his audience in the future.

"In the past, during college, the film festival felt very distant. So it was very embarrassing when I made a short film but after talking to people, it was very different. At first, I thought it was elitist but it turned out that people were friendly," said Kristo Immanuel.

Jakarta Film Week 2024 will be held from 23-27 October 2024 at three points, namely CGV Grand Indonesia, Taman Ismail Marzuki, and Hotel Grand Mercure.
